Reusable cLMAs should be decontaminated and washed before sterilization. Rinse in warm water to remove all obvious debris immediately (or as soon as practical) after use.

Washing should include external washing and cleaning of the interior with a 'pipe-cleaner' or similar cleaning device, with special attention applied to cleaning crevices in the cLMA.

Manual or mechanical washing in a neutral detergent are both acceptable.

Following decontamination and washing the cLMA must be sterilized in an autoclave before re-use.
