If at laryngoscopy you can see most of the glottis (Fig 1):

• Place the tube in the trachea while carefully observing the tube passing between the vocal cords (Fig 2)

If at laryngoscopy you can see most of the glottis, but despite good view you are having difficulty in placing the tube, then use a tracheal tube introducer (Fig 3). Select Play to watch the video.
