maintain both general and regional anaesthesia.

typically reduced by about 30%
The induction dose required for intravenous induction agents is
also reduced
Less local anaesthetic is required for regional anaesthesia. From
the late first trimester onwards, a dose reduction of approximately 30%
is required to achieve a given effect
