Question:

Answer:
Patients must be observed on a one-to-one basis by an anaesthetist, recovery nurse or other properly trained member of staff until they have regained airway control, cardiovascular stability and are able to communicate.
This means that if a member of the recovery staff is not available, you must stay with your patient until you can safely hand over care to someone else.
