The recovery team need to know what kind of anaesthetic you have administered. It may have been a long procedure under general anaesthesia (GA), in which case they will be prepared for a long wake up time. On the other hand, the patient may have had a nerve block and nothing else, which may mean a more stable patient who is able to return to the ward quickly.
Give a brief description of the anaesthetic technique used. For example, GA, GA with nerve block, epidural, spinal anaesthesia, sedation or local anaesthetic (LA) infiltration.
Also mention the duration of surgery, and the positioning of the patient, (if relevant).
