It is important that you recognize the response patterns to a TOF before, during and on recovery from both depolarizing and non-depolarizing NMB.

  1. Prior to NMB
  2. After an intubating dose of NMB
  3. During partial neuromuscular blockade by succinylcholine
  4. During partial neuromuscular blockade by a non-depolarizing muscle relaxant
  5. The earliest point at which it is acceptable to reverse a non-depolarizing NMB
  6. Following successful reversal of neuromuscular blockade
